Product Description
Managing Your Self is a unique and groundbreaking guide to increasing personal and professional effectiveness in a business context. Now available in paperback, the book shows students and managers how to contribute effectively and progressively to their organizations while enjoying more effective, dynamic and satisfying professional and personal lives.

Better self-management increases managers' ability to: Cope with stress. Resolve conflict. Manage change and manage to change. Achieve sustainable peak performance. Build effective teams. Influence organizational cultures. In short, they will develop "total quality". Drawing on contemporary theories of management, neuroscience, psychology and eastern disciplines as well as Parikh's own practical experience as a highly successful executive, Managing Your Self is a valuable guide for students and managers on how to improve their business performance while reaching a higher level of physical, emotional and mental well-being.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars 5 years later, still unbeatable   June 4, 2000

I bought this book 5 years ago and since then I bought and read plenty of similar. But this one really presents, in a plain and practical language, all the subjects (and problems) I meet in my daily work!

5 out of 5 stars A must read for Covey fans!   July 5, 1999

While Covey calls it the "gap", Parikh expands this concept with "centering". One of the top five self development books I have read. Parikh has you look at life from an eastern perspective, but with a western utility.Highly recommended!

4 out of 5 stars East and west business culture and education comes together   March 25, 1999

Never read a book with practical knowledge from east and west. Old knowledge in a serious new age style. For highermanagement a nice combination of insight of mind, body and emotions. A lot of practical models and systeems that you can use the next day in your organisation. Full of figures and cartoons. Very pleasand to read. I use this book as a gift in my excecutive coaching.
