This Book Will Help Work Be More Meaningful for You June 24, 2000 Michael Zwell (Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is a tremendous book that I highly recommend. Beyond Time Management is about how to develop and use purpose and principles on the job, and how to have work become a truly meaningful experience. Simply and understandably written, it is full of good examples to explain what Wright is writing about - how much more satisfying and meaningful work is when one is operating from a sense of personal purpose. It includes a chapter that walks the reader through the process of creating a life purpose statement, which I found most helpful. The book ends with a section on corporate purpose and principles, which I have used in my company. IF YOU WANT TO BE MORE POWERFUL AND SATISFIED IN YOUR WORK, READ THIS BOOK.
Excellent process to discover one's purpose in work and life March 15, 1999 28 out of 31 found this review helpful
The concepts in this book go far beyond what's suggested by the title. This is not simply a how-to-get-more-things-done book. It is an amazingly insightful handbook that walks you through a process that helps you not only to discover your own purpose, but also to understand the principles that are the very foundations of living a life of integrity and compassion. The examples are inspiring and relevant. It is packed full of gems of wisdom. The only difficulty is the concepts are so rich, and the author explains them so simply, it might be difficult for readers to grasp the scope of the change that can take place by following the principles set out.
