Not for the Technology Savvy March 5, 2008 R. Grace (Mt. Sterling, KY USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This planner is designed for someone who wants to write EVERYTHING down. There is a lot of space dedicated to phone numbers, email addresses, dates, etc. If you have a cellphone and/or PDA most of the things in this book are useless and would be better utilized on these devices. I found the pages to be poorly designed, lots of white space and fluff. It does have some good tips and convienent plastic holders, which is why I gave it a 2, other than that it's pretty useless to me. If someone has no idea how to use Excel and doesn't mind flipping through pages to find an item, this may be a product for you. For someone on the go who can design their own spreadsheets and like the convienence of having something they can throw in their purse, keep looking.
Very Useful February 23, 2008 A. Doherty This is a very big planner and while I don't need all the pages it offers, they are easy to remove and organize the way you need to. It has room for many important paper and info and I like the fact that if there was an emergency I could just grab it and go and have everything I need in one place.
Excellent product!! November 26, 2007 Doris (West Palm Beach, FL) This is an excellent product. It is totally customizable and very well laid out. The perfect choice for the obsessive compulsive organized person in your life. I don't think the notebook itself will last but the contents are well worth it! I hope that the author will sell refills and updates.
Great family organizer! September 7, 2007 J. Green (Texas) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've kept my own organization notebook in the past, but this one is much better than what I'd put together on my own. The paper is a higher grade than what I keep in my printer, so I think the pages will hold up over time. The contacts section is organized by groups (like "quick contacts," "neighbors," "family," etc.) which I've found to be a good way to find information. There are sections for your house & cars, finances, and healthcare. Pam Socolow does a great job of including every little thing you should be keeping track of and including it in the notebook's pages. The quality of the materials is good and seem up to handling a lot of use. The pages, dividers, folders, and stickers are all nicely designed. It's a great price simply for the materials, and to have your organization notebook put together so nicely for you makes it even better!

Something I would have LOVED to have been able to find when I was first looking into this organizer . . . CONTENTS! Calendar - 3-yr Calendar (2 page per month layout), Event Stickers (lots!), Activity Planner, Annual Reminders, Yearly Goals (short and long term) Contacts - Quick Contact List, A-Z Contact List (includes a looong list of Interior Home, Exterior Home, Moving/Inspection, Utilities/Municipal, Community Establishments, Transportation, Entertainment, Personal Care, Retail, and Other), Neighbors, Family Members Kids - School, Teachers, School Schedule, Activities, Play Dates, Car Pool, Camp, Babysitters, Instructions for Babysitters, Chores The Good Life - Places to Eat, Wines, Thing to Do/See, Travel Planner, Wish Lists, Movies to See, Books to Read Home & Auto - Household Repairs, Painting Log, Home Improvements, Household Items Purchased, Insurance, Vehicle Repair/Maintenance Log, Passwords/Logins, Subscriptions, Instructions for Pet/House Sitters, Driving Instrucitons to Our Home Healthcare - Children's Doctors, Our Doctors, Our Parents' Doctors, Healthcare Log, Medications, Children's Health History (vaccination log), Pet Doctors/Info, Pet Healthcare Log, Insurance, Healthcare Insurance Claims Finances - Monthly Budget Planner, Bill Tracking, Charitable Contributions, Tax Deductions, Store Credits/Gift Certificates, "Peace of Mind" (should something happen to you, this list could guide nearly anyone) Pretty thorough and exhaustive set-up, covers most every base. Well laid out, great forms for tracking all details (including some you might otherwise forget). There are also pockets at the end of each section (for say, menus in the Good Life section), as well as an insert page for business cards and 2 plastic zipper pockets. I don't know if it's a "new and improved" binder, but mine seems plenty sturdy. For me, there are some forms I wish there were more copies of (I could make others, but the included ones are a nice weight paper, color, etc) and others I could use fewer of - but, that would likely be the case for someone no matter what ("can't please all of the people . . ."). All around I'm VERY pleased with it and expect that it will be useful well beyond the 3-yr calendar life.
